TriVentures

Up for a challenge?

The Waikato River Trail is over 100 km long.

Try out our "TriVentures" - 3 different activities. Walk, Ride & Paddle all in one day!

Walk along part of the Waikato River Trail, travel though some spectacular native bush. Stop over on the lookout high above Jones Landing to view the pink hues of the ignimbrite bluffs of the upper Arapuni.

Meet up with the bikes to ride from Arapuni Dam through the village and over the swing-bridge to Little Waipa on grade 2 undulating trails.
Ride over native wetlands on boardwalks (keeping an eye out for Pukekos).
Kayak from Little Waipa down river to the southern end of Lake Karapiro back to Lake District Adventures HQ.
Challenge yourself a bit more.
Paddle up the picturesque Pokaiwhenua gorge, or join a night guided tour searching for Titiwai (NZ Glow Worm).
For those wanting to take it a little easier, or take longer to enjoy the surrounds, do it over two days and stay in local accommodation.
